SARVAC serves as a critical statewide advocate and resource hub for Washington’s volunteer search and rescue community. Despite their vital role in coordinating training and representing thousands of volunteers, the organization had lost its old website, which had been need of an update anyway. They needed a new website built from scratch.

They wanted a website to show who they were, how to join, how to donate, but most critically organize the critical information of numerous organizations in one place. They needed a centralized information hub for their member groups to access necessary information quickly and reliably. This would save valuable volunteer the time of repeating the same information across multiple sites, which was important because those volunteers save lives.

The organization made my job easier because they already had the content they needed, an idea of site structure and their branding. My time spent on content creation and design was minimal, allowing me to get the job of the website design done quickly.

I was able to create an website with strategic funnels that guided visitors to join or donate. I created a customized professional website that not only projects the authority of the organization but also the stunning beauty of the natural environment of the Pacific Northwest where they work.

I was also able to create a simple enough site that the client was able to manage a lot of their own content without always coming to me. It's a perfect partnership. They come to me when they need structural additions to the website, which keeps the design sharp, and in between they make minor content changes and additions on their own.
