About Amanda Hagarty
Web designer for storytellers & visionaries
A strong online presence doesn’t have to feel like a second job or a lifelong puzzle. With more than 20 years of experience in web design and marketing, and years of teaching digital skills, I help clients build websites and systems that make sense.
Most of all, I work with you and listen to your needs to come up with a website plan that achieves your goals and fits within your budget.

How I work
Whether you want someone to take the reins and handle it all for you, or someone to walk you through the process so you feel confident and in control of your web presence, I can help.
Most of all, I listen to you and your needs, and we figure out a plan together that will help you achieve your goals within the budget you have.

Where it began
I started in this business as a teacher. I worked with many mature authors who had very little experience with technology — social media, websites, and all the moving pieces that come with them.
Over time, and with plenty of experience and feedback, that work evolved into full website design for people who didn’t need to know how the watch was made — as long as it told the right time.
My clients had better things to do than build their own websites. They had businesses of their own to run.
Who I work with
Since then, I’ve expanded to designing for all kinds of small businesses — from Reiki practitioners to K9 search and rescue organizations.
I find it deeply rewarding to work with people who are doing what I do: putting their skills and knowledge out into the world to help others.

A little about me
I was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and spent the first 30 or so years of my life there. I moved to the U.S. for love and marriage, and spent another 20 years building both a life and a career.
These days, I’m based in Ireland, chasing a bit of fun and adventure. Fortunately, web design is wonderfully portable — and I’m grateful to work with clients all over the world.
In the spare time I pretend to have, I write fiction.
🐾My Feline Office Manager
I share my workspace with Boots, my naughty tuxedo cat, who lives a strictly indoor life but firmly believes she was meant for the wild outdoors.
We both believe in:
Patience — good things take time
Practicality — because clever isn’t useful if it’s confusing
Keeping life (and websites) simple
Speaking human, not tech jargon
Design that works hard but doesn’t look like it’s trying
Making complicated things feel manageable

Why Choose Me?
I’m patient, practical, and allergic to jargon. I quickly figure out what you need, what you don’t need, and how we can keep the whole process as painless as possible.
I like things to be functional, friendly, and occasionally funny. Tech doesn’t have to be serious all the time.
If you are totally new at this.
Don't beat yourself up when you get confused or frustrated.
Technology changes constantly.
No one magically “just knows” how this works.
Even professionals look things up regularly.
My philosophy.
I am making the world better one website at a time.
Websites are not just marketing tools — they’re communication tools. Let me help you communicate what you have to offer to the world.
